ONE | READ
My favorite thing to read on is the Kindle Paperwhite, it’s seriously the easiest way to go! It’s light so I can always have it in my bag, it’s backlit so I can read before bed and there is no reflection so I can read outside too. It’s amazing.
TWO | LISTEN
Lately, I’ve become a listener as well. Have you ever actually listed to a book-on-tape? It’s actually pretty awesome! I started listening to books through Audible at work when I got bored of the same music selections. I put my headphones in and get lost in another world while I sit at my cubicle typing away on the computer. There is a monthly fee for Audible, and you do still have to buy credits to buy books. At first I thought it seemed like a lot of money, but if I choose wisely then I can get a good bargain. I’ve been working my way through A Game of Thrones series, right now I’m on book four. The books are super expensive on their own, but buying the credits I was able to get them for about $15 each. You also get free credits every month. GET YOUR 30 DAY FREE TRIAL TO AUDIBLE
THREE | BORROW
I love checking out my library’s website and borrowing books to read. You won’t always find the newest popular books available, and sometimes there are waiting lists. But, this is the way to go for quick and easy summer reads. And the best thing is, if you don’t like a book that you’ve started then you can return it and pick a new one! Kindle Unlimited is also another go to for borrowing books. There is a monthly fee, but it’s worth it if you read a lot. Trust me.
FOUR | COMPLETED
I started a reading challenge on Goodreads at the beginning of the year, setting my goal to be 25 books for the year. I’ve hit 31 by August. When I listen to them I do make it through a book much quicker, depending on the length I can usually listen to a couple of books a week.
